In the name of God Ament, This twenty seventh day of April in the yea r of our Loard one Thousand seven hundred and thirty eight, I, John Gr egg in the Count of New Castle on Dellaware and Christiana hundred ?? ? being in perfect mind and memory thanks to God and calling to mind t he mortallity of my body and knowing that it is appointed once for al l ment to die, Do make and ordaine this my last will and testament tha t is to say principally and first all I give and reccomend my ??? Go d that gave it and for my body I recomend it to the earh to be burie d in a Christian manner a the discretion of my Exrs. nothing doubtin g but at the General resurection I shall receive the same again by th e mighty power in God and as trusting ???.....I give and bequeath to E lizabeth my Dearly beloved wife: the sume of ten pounds in good and la wfull money to be ??? and levied out of my Estate besides the third pa rte in the produce of the plantation ??? dwell on ??? the privelege o f the new roome at the last end of the house and the third par of th e seller under the same during her widowhood. Together with the thir d part of my ??? estates as the law directs.
Item have ??? unto William my eldest son ??? I make one of my executor s a tract of land containt two hundred acres, lying and being on Red C lay Creek it being in the county of New Castle, which is his part.
Item I have and have maid over unto my son Thomas two hundred acres o f land lying and being on Red Clay Creek, in the county of Chester ???
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph two hundred acres of lan d ??? lying and being on Red Clay creek in the county of Chestery by h im to be possess and enjoyed by him his heirs and assigns forever i t - being his part
