52 Robert A. McMahan, who came to Troy fifty years ago from Vineland, N . J., died at his home early Sunday morning from Bright’s disease, age d 73. Mr. McMahan was a veteran of the civil war and a member of th e Presbyterian church. His wife survives, two sons and two daughters ; Robert of Binghamton; Howard of Troy; Mrs. Fred Newell of Washington , and Miss Harriet McMahan of Troy. Two brothers and three sisters al so are living-James of Troy; David of Athens; Mrs. Sylvester Sherman o f Indianapolis; Mrs. Sarah Pierce of Waverly, Mrs. Rockwell of Canton . At the time of his marriage he was a weaver by trade, living in Dorchester, Oxfordshire, an ancient town on the river Thames about two miles from his native town of Warborough. He married, i2mo. 23, 1691, in a Quaker Meeting at Baghurst, Hampshire, Hannah (jlover, of Ichingswell, Parish of Kingsclerc, Hampshire, daughter of George Glover, deceased, by his wife, Alice Lamboll, later of Dorchester. The marriage certificate is entered on the records of Concord Monthly ^Meeting of Friends, Delaware county, Penn- sylvania.
