In the name of God Amen. I Samuel McMahan of Chillisquaque township, N orthumberland County and state of Pennsylvania....I give and bequeat h unto my dear wife Jane, two beds and bedding, one cow, two hogs, tog ether with such of my household furniture and kitchen utensels as sh e may chose to keep for her own use. And as I have already made full p rovisions for her comfortable maintenance and support during her natur al life by agreement with my sons Samuel and John dated the tenth da y of February AD 1853. It is my will and desire that she ??? and wil l accept and enjoy the pprovisions so made in lieu of all further devi ses and bequests. And to hearby enjoin upon my two sons Samuel and Joh n the full and faithful performance of said agreement towards their mo ther should she survive me. And astouching (?) all the rest, residue a nd remainder of my estate real personal or mixed of what kind or natur e whatsoever the same may be or whenever situated it-is my will that t he same be sold by my executors herein after named. And the proceeds t hereof, together will all moneys due and owing, to me and all my estat e as aforesaid be divided amoung my children in the manner following t o wit. to Polly, James, William R., Samuel, John and Eliza Ann, to eac h one eighth of the whole of my estate remaining after paying all my d ebts, funeral expenses and legacies herein specifically bequeathed. An d to Jane, intermarried with James Blair. Rebecca intermarried with Sa muel Blair and Margaret intermarried with John Giffens, to each one tw elfth of the whole of my estate as aforesaid. And lastly I...constitut e and appoint my two sons Samuel McMahan and John McMahan to be the ex ecutors of my will hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and beque sts by me therefore made and declairing this and no others to be my la st will and testament...
